OK, time to address turtle at Slade - the Woburn Studios. Thank you Sharon Morris for putting this all together! While Sharon has been organizing most of the studio spaces and evening events for 22 and 23 March (to be posted here soon), this is where I am with studio 8, a turtle nest, and beyond.

The turtle show that has occurred in Düsseldorf with nüans remains there. Turtle here will come from Germany! Anna Heidenhain, Maki Umehara and Elmar Hermann - who are nüans - will be represented here as artists. Joining them will be Kristina Stoyanova, Arpad Dobriban, Imi Knoebel, Michael Heym, Martina Klein, Monika Stircker, Katjia Stuke, and Tommy Støckel Coming to join us to install their work is Maren Maurer, Anna Heidenhain, and Felicitas Rohden, who is still a student at the Academy in Düsseldorf.

Other works here will be by Maya Ramsey, Claire Barrett, David Blandy,

Also joining us will be Melanie Maurin who is a dancer with Pina Bausch.

Added to this, Gina Birch, who came and performed in Düsseldorf, will perform on Friday 23 March at 5 pm with her daughters Honey and Leilei.

Simon Fisher Turner is due to turn up at some point to play, paint... make poetry.

Composer Bushra El-Turk will be involved in some music event to be developed.

Justin Bennett http://this.is/justin will have a slide/sound installation called Beirut Story.

Saqi Books and the late Mai Ghoussoub will be represented in books and readings.

There will be Printed Cinemas of Rosa Barba www.rosabarba.com



SCREENINGS

I will be showing films by and about Robert Frank, William Eggleston, Valery Gergiev, Isabella Rossellini, Guy Maddin, Jem Cohen, Yvonne Rainer, Chris Marker, Arthur Russel, Marietta Kesting, Jean-Charles Blanc, Etel Adnan, Lawrence Weiner, Melissa Kretschmer and Carl Andre, David Michael DiGregorio...

Special screenings of Marie Losier and Anna Faroqhi. And a lecture on Philosophy and children by David Pears.

We will make a special screening of Super-8 films by Derek Jarman, introduced by Gina Birch.

There will be more, so stay tuned! And note that many screenings will occur in the morning beginning Tuesday the 20 March. Work will also be available on request.
